Description

The Keepers of the Flame update brings a changed Breach mechanic that rewards fast, aggressive play. If you want steady PoE 1 Currency from Breach hands, pick your moments. These encounters are best when your character is already in the mapping phase of the endgame. Early play and low-level maps do not give the density or rewards you need to make the effort pay off.

Breach hands now favor speed and mass damage more than careful single-target fights. You must clear packs quickly and open many hands before the timer runs out. If your build is slow or you lack the tools to handle big groups, you will waste time and die more often than you will profit.

Aim to run Breach hands when your map pool and gear let you move fast without losing survival. That means good area damage, high movement speed, and enough defenses to survive spikes. Look for maps with open layouts where you can pull many monsters at once. Avoid tight maps that slow you down. Also think about map mods that boost monster density or add Breach chances—these make every hand more worthwhile.

Choose skills and items that keep you moving from pack to pack. Area-of-effect spells, fast projectile skills, and beam or chain attacks work well. Invest in movement like quicksilver flasks, boots with movement affixes, and passives that raise speed. Add damage on hit, area, or projectile speed where your skill benefits. Do not forget life or energy shield layers so you can take one or two bad hits and keep your clear going.

When you plan a Breach-hand run, set realistic goals for each map. Try to open as many hands as you can in the time allowed while keeping your death count low. If you die often, stop and upgrade gear or change the map tier. Small changes, such as better flasks, a few passive points for more area, or a single craft to boost clear speed, will often make the difference between a failed run and a profitable one.

Test runs are important. Learn which hand layouts on your maps are easy to clear and which are traps. Once you can clear hands quickly and safely, Breach hands stop being a risky side activity and become a regular way to earn PoE 1 Currency and useful drops.
