Behdind the Scenes:
The Emu rises above the sanddunes of the Nambung National Park.
One of my Favourite images from the Nambung Desert with Greg Rowney in Western Australia.
Greg and I took 2 hour 10 mins drive from Perth to this beautiful spot. After arriving at the location, I started looking for sand dunes which is not disturbed and also has a good texture/leading line to the rising Milky - Emu. 50 minutes of walking with my camera gear and tripods, I finally settled on this dune and enjoyed the texture and curves.
On this dreamy night in Nambung National Park , I was transported to another world where the sand dunes stretch like rolling waves frozen in time, their golden hues absorbing the soft glow of the Milky Way above. The Emu shaped Milky Way sprawls across the entire sky , its countless stars forming a tapestry of light that seems to flow through the galaxy.
