Packaging quality control: List of common quality defects of glass containers.
When it comes to glass imperfections, we are well-versed in identifying and distinguishing various types of cracks. For instance, deep cracks refer to those that exceed 2mm in depth, often exhibiting a vertical or radial shape. These can be found at the bottom of bottles or in other parts.
Cracks, on the other hand, are those that are less than 2mm deep. They tend to be reflective and appear horizontally or diagonally, such as those found on the head, neck root, or neck of the bottle.
Hairline cracks are surface cracks that do not penetrate deeply into the glass. Unlike deep cracks, they are not as reflective and have a rippled surface. They often appear as shallow or fine cracks that are visible during routine inspections.
Lastly, we also encounter cracks that are unbroken gaps on the glass surface. These can be felt with fingernails or scratched by touch, appearing both inside and outside the bottle. Unlike deep and regular cracks, they are not reflective and come in varying lengths and widths.
