How Rummy is Played
According to Rummy card rules, only ungrouped cards are counted towards the score at the end of the game. Since the winner will have all their cards grouped, their score is 0.
Different cards have different point values:
• Number Cards: These cards are worth their face value.
• Face Cards (K, Q, J): Each is worth 10 points.
• Ace Cards: An Ace is worth 10 points.
• Joker Cards: Both printed jokers and wildcard jokers are worth 0 points.
Wildcard Joker:
In addition to the two printed jokers in the deck, one card is randomly selected from the closed deck and designated as the wildcard joker. This card determines the additional joker for that round; all cards of the same rank, regardless of suit, can be used as wildcards. If the selected card turns out to be a printed joker, all jokers will become the wildcard joker for that particular Rummy game.
