The Advanced Minimal Access Upper GI Surgery course at the Apollo Simulation Centre (ASC) offers a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience designed to enhance the skills of surgeons in advanced minimal access surgery (MAS) for upper gastrointestinal procedures. Over three days, participants will master laparoscopic instruments, improve ergonomics, and gain proficiency in key techniques such as stapling, suturing, and the use of advanced energy sources.
This program integrates online lectures, live demonstrations, and extensive hands-on training in a state-of-the-art facility. Participants will engage in dry lab training, skill simulations, and wet lab sessions, focusing on critical procedures such as laparoscopic esophagectomy, gastrectomy, fundoplication, and gastric bypass surgeries. Key topics also include upper GI anatomy, complications and management, and robotic surgery.
The course is structured to offer 30% theoretical learning and 70% practical training, ensuring that participants gain both the knowledge and the practical experience needed to excel in MAS procedures. Interactive webinars, small group discussions, and Q&A sessions further support the learning process.
