Why Giphy Works in Posts but Not in Chat Messages (Wonder Script)

In the current setup of the Wonder script, Giphy integration works smoothly in public posts but does not display GIFs inside chat messages.

Cannot upload file: This file type is not supported.

My chat partner receives a notification that I sent something, but the chat appears empty.​
