When it comes to PvE in Dune: Awakening, I’ve found the Swordmaster to be an absolute game-changer and a class that truly stands out. Despite the game’s melee combat often being a point of contention among players, the Swordmaster embraces it fully, turning what some see as a weakness into its biggest strength.

This class excels at aggressive melee combat, meaning you’re not just stuck trading blows but can really dish out high single-target damage. With the right build, particularly one focusing on heavy armor, you’ll find yourself surprisingly durable. The stamina-driven combat requires you to be thoughtful about your attacks — mindless button mashing won’t cut it here. However, once you get the hang of managing stamina, you can solo most of the Deep Desert content with ease. For solo players, this is huge because you don’t have to wait around for group activities or rely on others to progress.

What I appreciate most about the Swordmaster in PvE is how engaging the combat feels. The game's melee system might be criticized, but the Swordmaster’s fluidity and power make fighting monsters and bosses satisfying and tense in all the right ways. If you love action-packed encounters where skill pays off, this class will keep you hooked for hours.
