"Medical professionals and healthcare personnel from Gaza, who were arrested by Israeli security forces on suspicion of aiding the enemy in the war, attempted to escape to the southern part of the Strip with the civilian crowd on the Salah ad-Din axis but were located and apprehended by the IDF and Shin Bet. Their arrest has been extended, as reported today (Wednesday) on Channel 11.

Yesterday, Channel 11 reported that 21 healthcare professionals, including doctors, paramedics, and ambulance drivers, who work in the hospitals of Shifa, Rantisi, and Rantisi Hospital in the northern part of the Strip, as well as Najjar Hospital in Rafah, were arrested. About seven years ago, after it was exposed that the hospital, under its direct management, served as the headquarters for the Hamas terrorist organization, he was transferred for investigation by the Shin Bet. Following numerous testimonies, the Shin Bet and IDF said that the Hamas terrorist organization exploited many resources, including electricity, to strengthen the underground system it built beneath the hospital. Additionally, Hamas stored many weapons in the hospital and its surroundings.

Moreover, after the massacre carried out by the Hamas terrorist organization on October 7, the organization used the hospital as a hideout for its terrorists and even brought kidnapped Israelis there. A pathological report confirmed that the murder of Lt. Col. Noam Marziano occurred on the hospital grounds. Extensive terrorist activity of the Hamas terrorist organization took place under its management in the hospital. A decision regarding continued detention will be made based on the investigation findings and the involvement of the hospital management in terrorist activities, if proven."
