The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) said ahead of the KBO League game on the 23rd, “ABS decision sound receivers were delivered to each team today.”

Measures were taken so that the team's dugout could also hear the ABS decision results through a voice receiver.

According to the KBO, the voice receiver can be worn by any team member in the dugout, including the scorer. Through the audio receiver, you can hear the same decision sound as the head umpire and third base umpire.

If the receiver's decision sound and the referee's decision are different, confirmation can be requested from the referee before the next pitch. You can request confirmation within 20 seconds of the count that ends the inning.

Even if the team does not request confirmation, if the ball-strike decision is incorrectly applied contrary to the receiver decision sound, the ABS field agent immediately intervenes and informs the referee.

The KBO plans to introduce additional equipment that will allow the dugout, players, and spectators to visually check ABS decisions in real time, as well as audio receivers.
