Professional baseball Lotte, ranked 1st in pitch clock violations and 1st in game time

The number of pitch clock violations in professional baseball continues to increase.

According to the interim status of pitch clock violations in the 2024 KBO League announced by the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) on the 6th, there were a total of 2,173 pitch clock violations in 178 games played from the opening game to the 5th, averaging 12.21 per game.

The number of league pitch clock violations was only 5.85 per game until March, but it soared to 11.88 by April and then increased again.

The team with the most pitch clock violations was the last-ranked Lotte Giants, with 10.59 violations per game.

The team with the fewest violations is KT Wiz with 3.38 violations per game.

The overwhelming majority of batting violations were committed by the Hanwha Eagles (161 times). Hanwha is the only team with more than 100 violations in this category.

Lotte had the most catcher violations with 10. Lotte recorded about one-third of the total number of catcher violations (31) this season.

Lotte also ranked first in average time spent this season (based on 3 hours, 13 minutes, 9 innings).

The shortest team is Kiwoom Heroes at 2 hours and 58 minutes.
